Hey Young & Elder ,
I was hoping you could use your “airwave powers” to help out a good cause. Several years back, the young daughter (Madelyn aka “Maddie”) of a friend of mine was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Maddie was treated for 4 years at St. Jude’s and sadly passed away last year at the age of 6. In her memory, her Mom put together a team of fundraisers/runners to participate in the annual St. Jude marathon. Last year, the team was able to raise over $30,000 for St. Jude. This year, our team goal was to be one of the top 10 fundraising teams for the marathon. We’re currently the 11th team having raised just under $14,000 and only have 2 more days to raise funds for our team so we’re running out of time.
I’m sure there are lots of listeners who would love to support St. Jude, but just haven’t gotten around to making their donation. Please ask them to help us out! For info on Maddie and the impact St. Jude had on her life, listeners can visit her website at:

Madoff, serving 150 years at the Butner, N.C., federal prison, was heard last week getting into a heated debate over the state of the market with another senior-citizen jailbird.
